Maryswoods

The project teams goal was to preserve as much of that natural beauty of the existing site while fulfilling the program requirements of adding independent living, assisted living, an Alzheimer wing and a fitness center. The design of the new wings connected to the existing convent in such a way to create multiple courtyards. This provides views to the garden from many interior spaces and allows each courtyard to take on a unique character. Within each courtyard is a looped path that then connects to an exterior path that leads to another outdoor space providing residents and staff endless opportunities for short or long walks.
