Tacoma Lutheran Alzheimer Garden
Three focal points encourage residents to engage and explore the entire garden.
The first draw is a vintage truck used by the residents in a variety of ways and always a topic of conversation.
The second focal point is a refurbished bird bath allowing for the pleasure of viewing colorful songbirds . While the third is a covered seating area used by residents, staff and visitors through out the year.
Margarett worked closely with the Tacoma Lutheran staff to design an Alzheimers garden within an existing courtyard. The garden is planted with non toxic plant materials approved by the Washington State Health Department.
